I am writing you to inform those of you interested about some news:

1. Latest releases:

out for a couple of weeks is the PREYING HANDS – “through the dark” – LP/CD. PH hail from Montreal/Canada and consist mainly of the ruins of BALLAST. Upon returning from a European tour late in 2006, Ballast promptly broke up. 3/5th of the band would continue to play together and soon would form PREYING HANDS including new members whose previous efforts included Montreal bands Snake Master, Desperate Living and Last Days. The sound seamlessly blends an odd combination of crust, melodic hardcore and a touch of pop punk. The powerful female vocals, that lyrically combine the personal with the political, complete an intense picture. Production was handled on this debut effort by Mark Lawson (Arcade Fire, weird...) at the Pines and mastered at Mammoth Sound by Dan Randall (Limp Wrist, Government Warning).


still hot and new is also the new EP by LIES FEED THE MACHINE from Berlin, called “Gallows”. It comes in a beautiful, but dark silkscreened cover and on the vinyl you hear the typical LFTM-sound, that you know from their former LP. So you know what to expect: Dark and heavy metallic-driven D-Beat/Crust with angry angry vocals.




2. Upcoming releases:

The EASPA MEASA / DIVISIONS RUIN – split LP is almost ready to be sent away for the pressing plant. There still need to be done some minor changes in the artwork, but i think by the beginning of this week it will be ready to go off.....so, there are still some small chances that it will be ready during the DIVISIONS RUIN – Tour, that is starting on the 30th December and will bring them to the mainly to England, Belgium and Holland. So if you have a possibility go and check them out live. The will be accompinied by BACCHUS from Galway


On the finishline is also the new LP by swedish SHADES OF GREY, called “Freedom / Incarceration”. The recordings are mixed and mastered, only the artwork needs to be finished. Hopefully this will be send away to get pressed by the end of the year, so that it will be ready in January. They will do a short Ireland-Tour In May and i heard some rumours about a tour far far away from Sweden in the next Summer.


FINISTERRE will leave for their little Tour in Israel on the 29th December to play 3-4 Shows there. Woah, crazy and special tour this will be, i am sure. Thanks a lot to Assaf/Twintoe Rec. to arrange this!!! In March, they will hit the studio to record their new LP and probably in July/August they are off again for another amazing tour in Mexico/USA.

I also decided to join in two other releases:
SAND CREEK MASSACRE / BOREDOM – split EP. This will be out sometime in spring 2010. SandCreekMassacre is still a pretty young band from Holland (or maybe i am just getting old....hahaha...) and after 2 split (EP w/M:40; LPw/Years of Decay), they will share a piece of vinyl again with BOREDOM from Austria. SCM will tour the balkans in Febraury and then head off for a 30-day Tour in Europe.


Also, i was asked to join in for the new MASAKARI – LP, which should be out in March/April 2010 and will be a co-release with HALO OF FLIES. They will also come over to Europe in May 2010. Check the dates below.

Two of Ireland's finest offer up a fine split of emotionally charged crust-tinged political hardcore. EASPA MEASA should be well known after their crazy 5-month-Euro-Tour back in 2005. It has been a little quiet around them since then, but now they are back with new recording. As this band has always been really important for me, i am totally happy about beeing part in this release. DIVISIONS RUIN on the flipside have gone through some line-up changes after their debut-EP, but managed to delevop their sound further and you`ll find a handful of new songs as well as some older ones from their demo on this split LP.

AGATHOCLES – obey their rules – LP – 7 Euro
Yet another new studio release by Agathocles which contains 11 trax! Agathocles play fucking grindcore! The thick, fuzz-edged scabrous guitar, unearthly rumbling bass, skull-splintering blasts from an explosive-charged kit, ferocious dual-vocal attack, pissed off sarcasm-tinged lyrics, are all very reassuring. To give a rough idea as to what the music on "ObeyTheir Rules" sounds like though, think of a crude, uneven mix of Napalm Death, Disgust, Repulsion, Blood, old Malignant Tumour and Unholy Grave. If you're into these bands, you're likely to find solace in this album.

CHAMBERS – s/t 12” – 7,50 Euro
silkscreened cover with artwork by 108, chambers is new project after the end of Violent Breakfast.. they're sound is more adult than before...

CHICKENS CALL – 27 – LP – 7,50 Euro
This 12" marks the second full lengh already of the French Punk Band that amazed a lot of folks who saw them Live on their recent 2009 Tour just a few weeks ago. They use melodies and tunes along with energetic crushing punk rock and create a very interesting and special brand of style. If you look for a good record of a good band that will hopefully stand many more of such great tours and records... you´ve found it!

EASPA MEASA / DIVISIONS RUIN - Split LP – 8 Euro
Both bands hail from Dublin which may explain the complimenting sound of each. DIVISIONS RUIN play hard hitting dark hardcore crust with battling female/male vocals creating a neo-crustal sound that breaks into eerie haunting breakdowns before breaking back into their emotive doomy hardcore once again EASPA MEASA are a political hardcore 5 piece, with both dualing female/male vocals they play amazing crusty melodic hardcore with passion and furygreat fluidity with in the songs and melodies through out.

EASPA MEASA / SILENCE – split LP – 7 Euro
Split 12" on Sadness Of Noise/ Acclaim Records. "Silence from Poland are hard hitting crustcore somewhat similar to a band like Fall of Efrafa, with the same style of varying between faster, harder, and heavier stuff. The old Tragedy comparison suits this fine as well, even though Silence are more on the doomy side. Tuned down and powerful. I know a lot of bands get the same description in lists like this all the time, but trust me on the fact that this is good. Easpa Measa from Ireland draw influences from great Irish bands like Jobbycrust and The Dagda in some parts and also adds some Ballast to it all. Quite a lot of tempo changes ranging from fast anpissed off to more tribal stuff, with dual fe/male vocals. Good stuff indeed" (wrote somebody ...)

EXTREME NOISE TERROR - Phonophobia. LP - 7,50 Euro
Fucking excellent job to repress their mighty LP from 1991. If older stuff was quite wild an soundwise a bit "minimalistic" this one has a big sound and the good old UK crust/grind they were famous for. Including 2 unreleased bonustracks. Get it it´s a monster!

KIDS OF THE BLACK HOLE - scary – LP – 7 Euro
After nearly a year of planing and production it´s done!!! KIDS OF THE BLACK HOLE serve us 6 songs of melancholic and melodic classic punk(rock)! Like a mixture of HUSKER DU, WIPERS and ADOLESCENTS! Like most bands on pain of mind the KIDS share members with NOVEMBER 13TH, CAVE CANEM, INFAUST, T-34, HYPOCRITICAL SOCIETY, TEENAGE ANGST and several more...

KOBAYSHI – Neuanstrich CD – 6 Euro
second longplayer from this Bremen based political hardcore/punk band. Powerfull fast and raging soundtrack with melodic hits here and there... thoughtfull lyrics sung in german but translated in English, Spanish and even Japanese. Comes in a Digipack plus booklet.

LAKME – s/t – LP - 7,50 Euro
Dark emototive HC from Czech Republic. Unfotunatly on hiatus at the moment, some of their member were in Dakhma....awesome record!!!

NORTON - "long walks on short piers" – LP - 7,50 Euro
Norton from Zürich deliver an awesome Hitmachine with their LP "long walks on short piers". 15 songs of best melodic Hardcore and not only the Cover is influenced by the 80s. They probably can't really hear the comparision to LEATHERFACE anymore, but isn't it a compliment on the other hand as well. For the I-Pod-generation there's also a CD enclosed and for the older ones a nice booklet.

PANACEA – s/t – LP – 7 Euro
Debut LP from another great band from eastern poland. On the one hand it's a perfect mix of spanish Crust like Ekkaia and Madame German and on the other Funeral Diner or french Screamo. Expect everything from slow emotional parts to furious head on d-beat tempos. Melancholic and powerful. Clear Vinyl!

POISON IDEA - Feel The Darkness LP - 7,50 Euro
Portland, Oregon's Poison Idea were never a subtile act. In fact, they resided at the furthest end of the opposite spectrum, fusing the pummeling rhythm section of heavy metal, with the crunching three-chord speed and fury of American hardcore, topped off with Jerry A.'s snarling, larger than life baritone, spitting out declamation after declamation against the world. That would be larger than life in more ways than just his Stentorian roar: Jerry, like guitarist Pig Champion, and for that matter, drummer Thee Slayer Hippy, are veritable giants, in height and girth. Reissued in 2004 by Farewell Records, Feel the Darkness is, simply stated, Poison Idea's most blistering moment in the sun, a steamrolling mass of furious speed and aggression, tempered with excellent drum and guitar work.

POOSTEW – struggle – LP – 7,50 Euro
first full length struggle delivers 15 tracks of straight forward grindcore sound but takes it to a higher level by mixing it with melodic guitar sounds and heavy chugga breakdowns. produced by the infamous dirk kusche [mörser, systral, absidia ...] it s extremely heavy and contains everything from blastbeats to midtempo driven melodies. all layout work is done by szandor kubassa [legacy zine, ox zine, as we fight ...]. the lyrics mostly deal with politics, abuse of power and personal views on grievances in society)

RED HERRING - Faster moving forward LP – 7,50 Euro
Raw, beautiful, unique punkrock from portland played with drums, tuba and banjo - file under: this is what a cross between THE MOB, UPRIGHT CITIZENS and DOG FACED HERMANS might sound like... feat HARUM SCARUM´S Dyanne on Vocals and Banjo and is a very interesting and impressing slap of vinyl.

ROMEO MUS DIE – s/t – 12”- 7,50 Euro
One sided LP by the new band from south of poland, from a small city where a priest, a cop and a politician have the last say. The other side of the vinyl is silkscreened - amazing work it must be said!!- Romeo Must Die are a mad and pissed off three-piece believing in the ethics of DIY, dumpster-diving and being the sole animators of their local scene. The group delivers 6 songs (nearly 20 minutes) that are not far from the ARTIMUS PYLE, HHIG or CATHARSIS kind of style, technically very well played, passionate and downtuned crust with low screaming vocals and lots of tempo variations. Heavy production and poetic lyrics make it one hell of a powerful record.

SHADES OF GREY - "freedom/incarceration" - LP (out 24th Feb.) – 7 Euro
Finally after a demo and their split-LP with MASSMORD, here's the debut-LP by one of the most powerful and active Crust-Bands coming from Sweden these days. Dark, metallic guitar-riffs and melodies assisted by powerful D-Beat drumming and two brutal female vocals.

UNHAIM - "dr. tobehoktr" – EP – 3 Euro
Finally this EP by the rowdies of UNHAIM from Biel, Switzerland. 4 songs of crust with a touch of metal. For those who are not didn't shit their pants due to the angry, vicous lyrics and whisper-metal, will gett creeps by seeing the silkscreen-cover that glows in the dark!

VUUR- discogrphy CD – 5 Euro
Ten songs from compilation and various split with AMEN-RA, SEEIN RED plus a born against cover, and with two live tracks powerful raging manic screaming ultra-emotional melodies...... a chaotic mix of reversal of man, acme, drop dead, rorschach.
Unfortunatly they split up last year...two of them continue playing in Kingterror

WOLFBRIGADE – comalive – LP – 7,50 Euro
New recordings from these swedish D-beat masters for their already 5th longplayer. Raging scandinavian Hardcore steamroller. Down-tuned crust-core blasts with a hint of the melody of early Swedish punk and classic Swedish Death Metal.
